Imagine you want to go for a weekend trip for fishing and you cannot find your gear any where and the garage is a mess. You will need to clean your garage and keep all the things in its place.
First thing you can do is get some drawers or cabinets which are stuck to the wall of the garage.

Try and sort out all the items and put them in separate cabinets. The things which you have not used for a long time and are not likely to use throw that away do not add to the mess in the garage.

Also, the things which are broken and cannot be mended should be throw away as they add to the clutter. The things should be kept according to the seasons so it is easy for you to find your stuff.
Once you have put everything in its place you will find the garage neat and clean and there will be enough place for your car in the garage.
